Meet Anita Payan, PhD

You’re already holding so much with care and courage.

Pay attention to what matters.

You’re in the right place.

“I know the sun must set to rise”

I am a licensed psychologist and school psychologist that specializes in treating anxiety, depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, school issues, breakup, lack of self love, parenting struggles, pregnancy loss, infertility, and life transitions. I work closely with children, adolescents, emerging adults, and graduate students, as well as parents navigating emotional and behavioral challenges with their children. I support families in their fertility journey, postpartum, and early parenthood, helping them navigate the emotional transitions of these life stages.

I have post-graduate training in fertility counseling in adherence to American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) standards and serve as a peer facilitator with Postpartum Support International (PSI), reflecting my commitment to supporting families through the unique paths of building a family. My work is informed by both evidence-based practice and a deep personal understanding of the fertility journey.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, trying new recipes, and spending quality time with my husband and our two children.

My style

I strive to meet you where you are at in your journey.

I am deeply honored to walk alongside each of my clients on their journey and am consistently inspired as I observe them to take steps toward their growth.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s needs. I combine emotional exploration with practical tools, helping clients understand their feelings, notice patterns, and develop strategies to navigate life’s challenges. I strive to create a space that is safe, supportive, and empowering, where clients can process difficult experiences, build resilience, and reclaim authorship in their lives.
